WHO IS THE BEAUTIFUL PROJECT?
The Beautiful Project was created in 2006 by illustrator and designer Jeannette Ordas. Her work is inspired by her love of all things vintage and sweet, from 1950’s cookbooks to textiles and typography. Her line has grown to include gift tags and calendars and she’s got lots of new items brewing for early 2009.
Besides selling her handmade paper works on etsy, you can find Jeannette cooking up a storm on her popular food blog, Everybody Likes Sandwiches, blogging about things that catch her fancy at The Small Joys, taking pictures on Flickr, or designing websites with her husband at their design studio, Matchbox Creative.
Normally, she’s not a fan of speaking in the third person. But please let her know what you think of this communique. What would you like to see next? Send an email and let us know!

WHAT DO I SAY?
Tip no. 1: Give Thanks
When in doubt, say thanks. Better yet, send a thank you note card and make your grandma proud.
1. Pick a pretty notecard that reflects your style.
2. Greet the giver in your own hand-writing.
3. Express your gratitude & be sincere, for goodness sakes! The point of writing a note is to create heart-felt sentiment.
4. Stick to the point & include the small details. This isn’t time to brag about your hot new love. Thank You’s are exclusively about thanking someone for their kindness.
5. Now make it snappy! Don’t delay. Get it in the mail today!
